Allround Scaffolding Pedestrian Bridge

Brazier Scaffolding was asked to supply this temporary pedestrian bridge which enabled access over a washed-out culvert near Doubtful Sound in the South Island. Built using Layher’s Allround modular scaffolding system, the pedestrian bridge spanned a total of 20m, was 1.09m wide and secured using ballast at each end. Ramps were also installed each end using Layher’s steel decks, and the bridge was certified by a local engineer to support up to 6 people at one time.

  • Fortunately we were able to have additional base jacks to support the bridge, minimising the span and providing better stability for the freestanding bridge structure
